I dont use camera as often as my ipod touch, i used my ipod touch every day(cant live without music). so If you're thinking of ipod touch or the cam-corder, i would rekcon you go for ipod touch first; and maybe a cheaper hd camera which will give you pretty decent quality of video. :) Personally, i think ipod touch would be much more ideal for me if i were you.
